Discover Golf in the Land of Smiles
GHW Golf Tours are both delighted and proud to be able to offer our clients luxury golf tours to this stunning destination. Demand has grown hugely over the years, largely due to the affordable pricing, climate, culture, people, attractions, quality of hotels and outstanding golf courses. Whether you're a group, or a couple looking for the ultimate get away, Thailand truly has it all in abundance!

If you're planning on a golf tour in Thailand, here's a few pointers, tips or heads up:

1. Caddies + buggies (carts) are compulsory and included in your green fee (excluding gratuity which is usually a minimum of THB400 (around £10) )
2. Most caddies are ladies, although you do find some male caddies work at some courses depending on availability and location. Either way, caddies are all smiles and extremely professional and well trained.

How efficient are Thai Caddies are compared to other caddies worldwide:

Caddies, as a basic part of their work will do the following for you:
- Tee the ball up for you and pick up the tee afterward
- Mark the ball on the green and replace it by lining up the arrow to your line
- Take the ball out of the hole and take it to the next tee for you
- Won't allow you to even touch the pin

3. Five and six-balls are part of the game...
It's quite normal to see six carts or twelve people (golfers and caddies) walking the fairways in front of you.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the sun because fighting it will only hurt you.

4. There's water....everywhere!

5. Every course is in immaculate condition...

Some courses even stipulate that the caddies need to do one day per week of weeding on the fairways. They'll sit in a group and groom the fairway gossiping with each other. They smile and wave as you walk by and they're happy, so none of the usual politically correct western "poor them" attitude applies here.

6. You may find that some courses have a resident stray dog once in a while but don't worry, the caddies will take care of you, and the dog!

From the moment you pull up to the bag deposit to the time you leave the course, you're treated like a god. Keep a smile on your face and embrace the "sabai sabai" lifestyle of Thailand and you'll want to come back to this golfing mecca again and again.
